Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current RN license in state of employment.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NIHSS certification due within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and intervene for optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization and specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate and confidential charts; document status, interventions and outcomes.
• Promote and advocate for patient health, safety, and rights.
• Provide patient/family education and assess learning readiness.
