Job summary

Penrose - St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and advocate for patients and families while following nursing standards and the State Nurse Practice Act.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, perform IVs, wound care, meds, and documentation, with a Magnet Hospital environment and mission-driven culture. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; RN license in state of employment.
• Physical requirements specified: medium work, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bachelors degree preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Perform therapeutic/diagnostic interventions (IVs, wound care, meds, catheterization, specimen collection).
• Maintain patient charts accurately and use IT for communication and decision support.
• Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with patients and families.
• Educate patients and families, assess learning readiness, and document outcomes.
