Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Clinical Coordinator for the Cardiology Procedural Care Unit to oversee patient flow, coordinate activities, and serve as a resource for patients, staff, and clinicians. The role emphasizes efficient, compassionate patient care during post-procedure transition and discharge planning.

The position requires an active Virginia RN license (or compact) and BLS HCP certification, with at least three years of clinical experience and prior charge nurse or supervisory

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.
• Charge Nurse experience or supervisory experience.
• Certification in specialty area or BSN preferred.
• RN without a BSN must enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five years.

Responsibilities

• Follows physician/licensed independent provider orders.
• Practices within Virginia nursing regulations and ANA Code of Ethics.
• Adheres to VCUHS policies and established practice guidelines.
• Organizes and plans work with input from patient/family for specific outcomes.
• Supervises other staff (RN, LPN, care partners, unit secretaries) as delegated.
