Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking registered nurses for the Cardiology Procedural Care Unit. The Clinical Nurse I–III roles integrate technical skills with patient-focused care, delivering medication administration, education, and leadership development within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include age-appropriate patient care, accurate documentation, and following medical orders while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate degree from a nursing program.
• RNs without a BSN must enroll in an approved RN to BSN within two years and complete within five.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred for Clin III.
• Certification in specialty area for Clin III.

Responsibilities

• Follows physician/licensed independent provider orders.
• Delivers and documents age-specific care based on medical orders and plan of care.
• Safely administers prescribed medications and identifies interactions.

Education

Diploma or Associates Degree

RN to BSN requirement

RN licensure (VA or compact)

BSN preferred (Clin III)

AHA BLS HCP

Certification in specialty area (Clin III)
