Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners is seeking a registered nurse to join Banner Surgery Center – Thunderbird in Glendale, AZ. The role provides nursing care for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative patients, following organizational policies and professional standards.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, document thoroughly, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, on-time procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• BLS and ACLS are required.
• PALS certification within 90 days if pediatrics is assigned.
• Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (or as specified).
• New RN enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and post-operative planning needs.
• Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and ensures completion within appropriate timeframe.
• Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician and other caregivers.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patient/family.
• Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care.
• Plans care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team and revises as patient status changes.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
