Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Perfusionist to join the open-heart surgical team. You will operate and maintain the heart-lung machine, monitor anticoagulation, and ensure patient homeostasis during bypass procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited perfusion program; Master’s degree is preferred, with licensure and board eligibility expected within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Education program.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains heart-lung machine and other perfusion equipment.
• Maintains anticoagulation status during cardiopulmonary bypass and manages temperature/ischemia as directed.
• Ensures appropriate blood gas, electrolyte balance, and perfusion parameters.
• Documents procedures with perfusion records and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety regulations.
