Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Perfusionist to join the open heart surgery team. The role involves operating the heart-lung machine and related extracorporeal equipment to support or temporarily replace the patient’s circulatory or respiratory function during procedures.

Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion program is required, and certification in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion must be obtained within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as certified in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within two years of hire.
