Job summary

100 LCMC Health is seeking a qualified Perfusionist to be part of the open-heart surgical team. The role involves operating the heart-lung machine and ensuring effective anticoagulation during surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, along with the necessary certifications.

This role requires strong communication and monitoring abilities to maintain patient homeostasis and engage with surgeons effectively. Candidates must uphold safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric or adult perfusion.
• Graduate of an accredited Perfusion Education Program.
• Eligible to sit for the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain perfusion equipment during surgery.
• Ensure adequate myocardial protection and communicate with surgeons.
• Monitor all aspects of perfusion, including blood gases and blood pressure.
