Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of nursing assistant experience within the past five years may substitute for training.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant program or Florida CNA certification or LPN licensure or nursing student with clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutrition.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean, neat, and organized patient environment.
• Maintains patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports to RN.
• Participates in hourly rounding and handoff reports.
