Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL seeks a Nursing Assistant II to provide direct patient care on the Cardiac Intervention unit during Day shifts. Responsibilities include hygiene, mobility, and monitoring vital signs while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The role emphasizes patient privacy, adherence to hand hygiene, and collaboration with the RN and healthcare team. 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred and BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination and nutritional needs.
• Provides routine treatments and maintains a safe, clean, neat, and organized patient environment.
• Maintains safety and security of patients, families, self, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assures patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality.
• Follows standard precautions, always washes hands between patients.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Takes and records vital signs and intake/output as directed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
