Job summary

Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital in Wesley Chapel is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead shift operations within the Cardiac PCU, ensuring high-quality care, strong patient experience, and efficient patient flow.

The CANM works with the Nursing Operations Manager and ANOM to guide the unit's clinical operations, assign staff based on acuity, and support frontline teams with collaboration and safety focused leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; acute care setting preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in area of expertise; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplar of the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health.
• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts based on patient acuity and staff skill sets.
• Coordinates patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve outcomes.
• Monitors status of patients and of seriously ill patients within area of responsibility.
• Ensures compliance with physician orders and policies; supports frontline team members and providers.
