Job summary

2200 The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new employees in PCA positions.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and documenting in the medical record. Required or preferred credentials include a High School diploma, BLS, CMA, EMT-Paramedic MA, and LNA NH where applicable. Experience in patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: BLS, CMA, EMT-Paramedic MA preferred, LNA NH preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in patient care/elder care preferred.
• Skills: ability to lift up to 35 pounds; proficient EMR use.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating.
• Take vital signs and document in medical records accurately.
• Interact effectively with patients and families.
• Turn/reposition patients and assist with mobility between bed and wheelchair.
• Report health concerns to nurses as needed.
