Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support registered nurses with essential clinical tasks on site at 75 Francis Street in Boston. The role offers a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new employees and a 40-hour workweek with rotating shifts.

Qualified candidates include CNAs, PCTs, MAs, EMTs, or nursing students who have completed foundational nursing coursework. Bi-lingual skills are preferred to assist diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Certification as CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required.
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals with a clinical component.
• Bi-lingual skills preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• May not currently hold a valid nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the RN with clinical tasks, including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs.
• Responding to the needs of patients and family members and takes a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.
