Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma, basic rhythm certification, BCLS, and up to 6 months of prior Monitor Technician experience. Training on workplace safety is provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification in basic arrythmias, dysrhythmia, ECG, EKG, or Monitor Tech on hire.
• Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six (6) months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.
• Training on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 90 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as needed when not distracting from primary tasks.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current certification in basic arrythmias, dysrhythmia, ECG, EKG, or Monitor Tech

Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate

Six months experience as Monitor Technician (preferred)
