Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital is seeking a Monitor Tech to monitor cardiac rhythms and support nursing staff on the night shift. The role involves transcription of orders when CPOE/EMR is unavailable, ensuring tests are ordered and completed, and maintaining patient charts for ER documentation.

Requires a High School diploma, a dysrhythmia interpretation certificate, and a current BLS certification. Prior healthcare or Monitor Technician experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR.
• Verifies that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepares and completes patient charts and supplies for daily needs; assists nursing staff as needed.
