Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Intermediate unit on a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. This role supports a 26-bed unit within the BCVI, delivering advanced cardiac care in a suburban setting.

Requires BSN and IL RN license; BLS; strong interpersonal and analytic abilities; ADN with plan to obtain BSN within 3 years acceptable.

Qualifications

• BSN required; IL Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Associate Degree Nursing acceptable with plan to obtain a BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data, develop plan, coordinate care and evaluate outcomes.
• Direct care and assign tasks to any involved assistive personnel.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and staff; document the plan.
• Participate in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Record patient responses and adjust the care plan as needed.
• Apply evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
