Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Registered Nurse for the Multi-Specialty ICU (MSICU). You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill medical and cardiac patients in a high-acuity setting, using advanced critical care therapies and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved nursing program.
One year of experience working as an RN in a critical care or ICU.
Currently licensed as an RN by the Texas Board of Nursing or with a multistate license from NLC; BLS/ACLS per AHA/ARC; NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents assessments considering age-specific criteria.
Anticipates patient/family needs and develops a care plan.
Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care with the health care team.
Prioritizes interventions and monitors for changes in condition.
Evaluates interventions and updates the care plan as needed.
Adheres to hospital nursing policies and ANA standards.
