Allegheny Health Network seeks a Nurse Educator to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate education for the assigned nursing service. The role supports patient care through clinical expertise and staff development.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing with RN licensure, has extensive cardiac care experience, and can teach dysrhythmia and rhythm interpretation. Involves coordinating orientation and educational programs within a Magnet-recognized hospital.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• 4 years total RN clinical experience, 3 on an inpatient unit specialized in cardiac care and 1 year in an ICU.
• Experience in teaching basic dysrhythmia.
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• 1 year demonstrated formal or informal teaching experience (clinical instructor; precepting; teaching at unit/hospital level).
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies.
• Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
• Serves as a consultant or staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, professional development and provides direct patient care.
• Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.

Formation

Master’s Degree in Nursing

4 years RN clinical experience

Teaching experience in dysrhythmia

Cardiac rhythm interpretation

1 year teaching experience (any setting)

PA RN licensure or multi-state (eNLC)

CPR – American Heart Association

Background clearances (Act 34/33/73)
