Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound, trans-esophageal studies, and related cardiovascular exams for inpatients and outpatients.

The role requires ARDMS or CCI credentials, BLS, and an associate degree in diagnostic ultrasound. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, cross-train into other modalities, and participate in quality control and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in cardiac echocardiography and trans-esophageal echocardiography preferred.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Must be able to cross-train into other ultrasound modalities.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Responsible for performing all diagnostic cardiovascular procedures in a timely manner.
• Performs procedures according to physician's orders in the patient’s chart or per prescription on outpatients.
• Works collaboratively with other care team members to assure safe and accurate delivery of patient care.
• Cross-train into other modalities as needed.
• Assumes responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
