Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Echo Sonographer to perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D/3D/Doppler/TEE/Stress) across multiple locations. You will explain procedures to patients and ensure quality imaging within established protocols.

The role requires ARRT(S)/RDMS/RDCS credentials, BLS CPR, and one year of echocardiography experience. Strong teamwork and teaching abilities are essential for collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT(S) and/or RDMS/RDCS credentials.
• Must be registered in appropriate cardiology specialties within one year of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience performing echocardiography procedures.
• Ability to communicate with physicians and patients professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms including 2D, 3D, Doppler, TEE, and stress echocardiograms.
• Record quality information and follow procedural guidelines.
• Explain procedures and possible side effects to patients.
• Provide echocardiography service at all necessary locations with on-call coverage.
• Operate equipment and use transducers, digital networking, and analysis systems.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
