Boston Medical Center, Corp. is seeking a Cardiac Echocardiography Technologist to perform and initially interpret echocardiograms, including TEE and stress studies, under the direction of the Lead Echo Technologist.

The role involves technical execution, documentation, and collaboration with the Cardiology team in a fast-paced setting. The position requires RDCS or ACS certification and a GED/HS diploma with preferred associate or bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• GED or HS Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• RDCS or ACS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive echocardiographic procedures including Echocardiograms, Trans-Esophageal Echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms, and Exercise Echocardiograms in the Cardiovascular lab and in-patient units.
• Recognizes and responds to urgent findings; informs physicians of abnormal results as needed.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate service delivery and ensures accurate documentation and reporting.
• Maintains and cleans all echocardiography equipment; prepares the lab for patient appointments.
• Schedules workflow and assists in arranging special echocardiogram procedures; supports educational activities and conference preparation.
• Promotes patient safety and comfort; performs other related duties as required.
