Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled imaging technologist at our Ocala, FL location to perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures. You will ensure high-quality scans, adapt procedures to patient needs, and document all relevant data for interpretation.

Required RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS certification and an Associate's degree in cardiovascular sonography, with strong communication and computer skills. PRN schedule, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must operate all ultrasound systems and use measurement packages for anatomy, function, and status.
• Must recognize significant anatomical structures, artifacts, pathology.
• Ability to communicate procedures clearly to patients.
• Basic EKG knowledge required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly department and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex imaging studies.
• Enter testing conditions, observations, results, and demographics into records.
• Communicate abnormal findings to reading physicians.
• Schedule, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and assist with coding/billing.
• Set up and adjust imaging equipment and maneuver transducers for exams.
• Maintain department supplies and safety standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
