Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a skilled ultrasound professional to perform comprehensive echocardiography and vascular studies. You will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain high-quality images, and tailor exams to each patient's medical needs while documenting results and ensuring safety.

The role requires RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS or equivalent, BLS, and preferred experience in cardiovascular sonography. Competitive pay range and a supportive work environment are offered at this campus in Florida.

Qualifications

• Must perform a full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must operate ultrasound systems and use measurement tools for anatomy and function.
• Ability to interpret anatomy, artifacts, and pathology for accurate results.
• Clear, patient-focused communication about procedures.
• Basic EKG knowledge is required.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex imaging studies.
• Obtains high-quality scans tailored to patient body habitus.
• Adapts procedures to patient medical situation.
• Records results and patient demographics accurately.
• Notifies physicians of abnormal findings.
• Handles scheduling, insurance verification, and coding tasks.
• Operates imaging equipment and maneuvers transducers for exams.
• Maintains a clean, safe department and restocks supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
