Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer capable of performing echocardiography and vascular ultrasound procedures. You will operate ultrasound systems, acquire high-quality images, and communicate findings to reading physicians.

The role requires strong patient interaction, basic computer skills, and independence with supervision. RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS certs or equivalent are preferred. Full-time day shift with benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform a full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must be able to operate all ultrasound systems and use measurement tools for anatomy and function.
• Strong communication with patients and reading physicians.
• Proficient with basic computer software and office tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate patient communication and safety needs.
• RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS certifications or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex imaging studies and assist with a variety of procedures.
• Obtain high-quality scans tailored to patient body habitus.
• Adapt imaging to patient medical situation and record demographics.
• Enter test results and demographics into patient records.
• Notify physicians of abnormal findings and procedures for interpretation.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and billing activities.
• Operate imaging equipment and position transducers for exams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department.
• Monitor and restock supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
