Job summary

AdventHealth DeLand in Florida is seeking a dedicated ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular studies in a patient-centered imaging department. The role requires precise technique, patient communication, and collaboration with physicians to ensure accurate interpretations.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, document results, and participate in scheduling, insurance verification, and billing activities while helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient

Qualifications

• Must perform diagnostic echocardiogram and vascular ultrasound.
• Operate ultrasound systems and measurement package.
• Identify significant anatomy, artifacts, pathology.
• Explain procedures to patients clearly.
• Basic EKG knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety.
• Up-to-date image interpretation and save/discard decisions.
• Read/write/speak English.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex imaging studies per protocol.
• Document test results and demographics in patient records.
• Communicate abnormal findings to physicians.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and billing tasks.
• Set up and adjust imaging equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Restock supplies to maintain proper levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
