Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role is primarily at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction.

The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri) with a rotating day off and on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response.

Qualifikationen

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers, and patients.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and transport patients as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely fashion.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate with physicians and caregivers.
• Return patient to room and ensure stability after exams.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Document exam results and required information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas; manage supplies.
• Coordinate repairs or supply needs and support quality initiatives.
• Participate in educational opportunities to maintain competence and develop skills.
