Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician supervision. This role is aimed at recent graduates or those new to the field, with part-time scheduling and on-site duties at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado.

The position emphasizes patient education, technical competency, and collaboration with the clinical team. ARDMS/CCI certification and BLS are required, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and ongoing

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification, education, and transport, and perform ultrasound exams.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and coordinate care with physicians and team.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
