Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience.
• RDMS or RDCS preferred; BCLS required within 7 days.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment safely and adhere to safety protocols.
• Knowledge of EMR documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies (2-D, M-mode, Doppler) per departmental standards.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams.
• Acquire Stress Echo and Dobutamine images; post-exercise imaging within 60 seconds.
• Assist physicians with TEEs while ensuring patient safety.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas.
• Document preliminary reports and patient information in the EMR.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and consents before procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to communicate patient conditions.
• Adapt imaging for age-specific care and patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
