Responsibilities include stress echo, TEEs support, equipment prep, and collaboration with the care team to support timely interpretation by cardiologists.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience.
• RDMS required; RDCS or RCS preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within first 7 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures, proper positioning and monitoring.
• Acquires Stress Echo and Dobutamine images; post-exercise imaging within 60 seconds.
• Assists physicians with TEEs, ensuring imaging quality and patient safety.
• Prepares and maintains ultrasound equipment, supplies, and work areas.
• Documents preliminary reports and patient information in EMR, maintaining confidentiality.
• Verifies patient identity, orders, and consents before procedures.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams and relays patient condition changes to clinicians.
• Demonstrates competency in age-specific care and adapts imaging accordingly.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
