Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a dedicated echocardiography technologist to join our imaging team. Under supervision, you will perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D/3D, Doppler) and ensure high-quality documentation across locations and shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved cardiovascular ultrasound program, and eligibility to test for RDCS or RCS within 12 months. BLS/ACLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; a formal cardiovascular ultrasound program is preferred.
• Eligibility to test for RDCS or RCS certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification by the AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D, 3D, Doppler) and document results.
• Operate diagnostic ultrasound and ancillary equipment across locations to meet patient care needs.
