Job summary

Join Methodist Hospital Northeast under HCA Healthcare as an Echo Technician PRN. You will perform echocardiograms and related imaging studies, support TEEs and carotid imaging, and ensure high-quality patient care within the cardiology service line.

The position requires registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE or RCS and compliance with hospital standards for quality and safety. Excellent teamwork and communication with the patient and care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registry eligible for RDCS/RDMS-FE or RCS eligibility.
• Registered credentials required or within the ARDMS/CCI framework.
• Knowledge of non-invasive cardiac imaging equipment and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Acquire physician orders and prioritize STAT exams; obtain patient consent.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and maintain clean, calibrated devices.
• Perform 2-D echocardiograms, including standard views and Doppler assessments.
• Assist with TEEs and carotid imaging per protocols.
• Document results accurately and communicate findings to care team.
• Assist with tilt-table testing and monitor patient safety as needed.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and departmental policies.
