Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking an Echo/Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform physician-ordered diagnostic cardiac exams, including echocardiograms, TEEs, carotid imaging, and stress testing. The role requires registry eligibility (RDCS/RDMS-FE or RCS) and completed education per program options.

You will document results and coordinate with the cardiology team to support patient care. You will work under the Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager, maintain equipment, adhere to safety

Qualifications

• Registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE or RCS per ARDMS/CCI.
• Associate degree with 1 year clinical ultrasound experience (ARDMS or RCS eligibility).
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (RCS/ARDMS).
• Bachelor’s degree with 6 months clinical ultrasound experience (RCS eligibility).
• Bachelor’s degree in sonography or vascular technology (ARDMS eligibility).
• Current Registered Cardiac Sonographer or related ARDMS/CCI credential.
• High school diploma with two years on-the-job cardiac/vascular ultrasound experience (RCS eligibility).
• Graduate of non-accredited program with 800 clinical hours (RCS eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Acquire physician orders and manage STAT prioritization.
• Ensure patient consent and explain procedures to patients.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms including multiple views.
• Conduct stress echocardiography with appropriate views.
• Assist with TEEs, including setup and disinfection.
• Support head-up tilt test preparation and monitoring.
• Maintain accurate patient reports and data in Meditech.
• Take call as scheduled and support PACS disaster recovery.
