Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams under physician supervision. This full-time position offers four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM), a rotating day off, and on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time, primarily at St.

Mary's Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic. Minimum qualifications include ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS for healthcare

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exam by following patient identification, educate patient and family, and transport patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and care team.
• Document exam results and apply charge codes.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Support quality improvement processes and educational opportunities.
