Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role is at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with Grand Junction rotations, involving 40 hours weekly over four 10-hour shifts.

Requirements include ARDMS/CCI, BLS, and a preferred Bachelor's degree. The position includes on-site duties, on-call responsibilities with 30-minute response, and a competitive hourly rate in Colorado.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule echocardiography exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, caregivers and patients.
• Prepare patients, educate on procedures, and transport as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams in line with protocols and timelines.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort to achieve quality outcomes.
• Document results and coordinate care with physicians and team.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain clean equipment and work area.
