Job summary

Advocate Health's Cardiovascular Diagnostics department is seeking an experienced echocardiographer to perform adult echocardiograms and support quality patient care in a high-volume setting.

Position requires ARDMS/CCI registry eligibility with certification within one year and a current BLS. Training pathways include CAAHEP-accredited programs or 2–4 years of hands-on echocardiography experience.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or registry-eligible in ARDMS or CCI with certification obtained within one year.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience performing echocardiograms or four years of on-the-job echocardiography training.
• Ability to perform echocardiograms independently and follow standard protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Adhere to infection control standards and protect patient safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with cardiology and other teams to support patient care.
