Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technician II at 36928 Davie Medical Center - Cardiology Nuclear Stress. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program required.
• Certification or registry in Echocardiography (RDCS) required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Records quality information while performing echocardiographic imaging and following procedural guidelines.
• Explains procedures and possible side effects to the patient or family members.
• Confirms physician requests and evaluates patient history for appropriate indicators and contraindications.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Operates equipment used to perform echocardiograms.
• Maintains patient medical records.
• Organizes the reporting stages: study completion, interpretation, and final report.
• Submits final reports to nursing units, physician offices or medical records.
• Performs portable diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Takes call, works weekends and rotates holidays as needed.
