Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced echocardiographer to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging within the Cardiovascular Diagnostics department at Cherokee Location. This role involves following established protocols, maintaining patient records, and delivering age-appropriate care across all life stages.

The candidate must be registry-eligible (ARDMS/CCI) with current BLS certification and complete required competency checklists in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, including congenital and acquired heart conditions.
• Proficiency in echocardiographic techniques, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.
• Understanding of ultrasound physics and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Actively engages in performance improvement and quality initiatives in collaboration with leadership.
• Supports utilization review and new product evaluations to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Follows established protocols and collaborative care guidelines to ensure safe and effective treatment.
• Maintains accurate patient records and adheres to infection control standards.
• Provides age-appropriate care across the lifespan in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
