Qualifications

• Minimum: ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography; BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams; coordinate with staff, physicians, offices and patients.
• Prepare patients and educate on procedures; manage patient transport to exam areas.
• Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with related protocols and maintain timely workflow.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; communicate needs to physicians and caregivers.
• Document exam results and apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area and stock; coordinate repairs or supply needs.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in educational opportunities.
