Zusammenfassung

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. This full-time role involves 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) with rotating days off and on-call responsibilities at St.

Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO, and occasional rotations. The position requires ARDMS/CCI certification in cardiac/vascular sonography and BLS; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate technical competency for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedure and prepare patient for exam.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and caregivers.
• Return patient to room and ensure stability and safety after exam.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Document exam results and required information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Coordinate repair or supply needs as needed.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and opportunities.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows, and students.
