Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction at St. Marys Regional Hospital and related clinics. ARDMS/CCI and BLS are required; 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts, with on-call duties and a 30-minute response time.

Responsibilities include coordinating exams with staff, educating patients, documenting results, and mentoring others. On-site location includes Grand Junction cardiology clinic rotations.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedure and transport patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and family.
• Document exam results and needed information; apply charge codes.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area; stock supplies.
• Coordinate repairs or supply needs; support QA processes and initiatives.
• Participate in educational opportunities to ensure clinical competence and develop skills.
• Provide education for other caregivers and students as appropriate.
