Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician supervision. The role includes 40 hours weekly over four 10-hour shifts, with on-call duties and a 30-minute response time. Primary site is St.

Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO, with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic. Minimum qualifications include ARDMS or CCI certification and BLS; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare patients and educate on procedures; transport as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and timelines.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply correct charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and techniques.
• Participate in education to develop skills and knowledge.
