Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams under physician supervision at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction. The role requires ARDMS/CCI and BLS, plus a preferred Bachelor’s degree.

Duties include exam coordination, patient education, and documentation, with an emphasis on safety and quality. Full-time position with rotating day off and on-call duties; 40 hours weekly on four 10-hour shifts

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers, and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedures and ensure safety during exams.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner according to protocols.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and work area; assist with repairs or supplies as needed.
• Mentor staff and students on equipment use and technique.
• Participate in quality improvement and education opportunities.
