Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to support our clinical team at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. This part-time role (30 hours) involves performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound under physician supervision, scheduling exams, coordinating with staff, and mentoring students.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates of an echocardiography program or new to the field with ARDMS/CCI certification and BLS.

Formación

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients, educating them on procedures, and transporting patients.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and work areas, and manage supplies.
• Support quality improvement processes and educational opportunities.
