Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies. You will adapt procedures to each patient’s medical status and document all findings in patient records with precision.

The role requires RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS certification and an Associate's degree (preferred) with relevant experience. Proficiency in EKG and strong patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform a full range of diagnostic echocardiogram and/or vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Must be able to operate ultrasound systems and measurement packages.
• Basic EKG knowledge and patient communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies.
• Adapt procedures to patient conditions and obtain necessary information for interpretation.
• Enter test results and demographics into patient records accurately.
• Communicate abnormal findings to reading physicians and coordinate next steps.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, coding, billing and reimbursement tasks.
