Job summary

PSCFL is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform comprehensive echo studies, triage exams, orient and prepare patients, and present findings to attending physicians. You will also maintain echo equipment and ensure proper documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage for TEE, accurate charge setup with ICD codes, infection control, and mentoring sonographers. Strong teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Assocate degree or certificate in ultrasound required.
• Registry eligibility or certification within 6 months of hire.
• Analytical skills and ability to present data to physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies using ultrasonic equipment.
• Triage examinations, orient and prepare patients, and provide preliminary data.
• Maintain echo equipment and laboratory; document procedures per standards.
• Assist with on-call rotation for transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Set up charges and ICD coding; maintain accurate EHR records.
• Restock rooms and follow infection control policies; escalate issues as needed.
• Provide guidance to trainees and fellows; ensure patient safety and comfort.
