Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies and support physicians with imaging interpretation. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate data collection for EMR reporting.

The role requires 1–3 years of echocardiography experience and certification readiness, with collaboration across the care team to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for cardiac evaluation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography required

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic studies, including 2-D imaging, M-mode, and Doppler.
• Assume responsibility for patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images, with post-exercise image acquisition within 60 seconds or less.
• Assist physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) ensuring imaging quality and patient safety.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas for patient care.
• Document preliminary reports, procedural results, and patient information in the EMR.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and consents before procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to relay patient condition changes for timely evaluation.
• Demonstrate age-specific care, adapting imaging techniques to patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain attendance and policy compliance.
