Job summary

You will work closely with schedulers, technologists, and physicians, under the Imaging Section manager. The position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, independence, and familiarity with computer applications.

Qualifications

• Three years of administrative scheduling experience in outpatient settings.
• Experience with imaging department coding and third-party payor requirements.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure exams are scheduled appropriately.
• Process inpatient and outpatient scheduling with necessary pre-authorizations.
• Maintain scheduling guidelines and compliance with regulations.
• Assist with ordering and purchasing of office supplies.
• Communicate delays to patients and answer questions.
