Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, part of Methodist Health System, is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision. You will assist with monitor tech duties, scrub and circulator tasks, and operate imaging equipment.

Candidates must hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in a science field, have current ACLS, be RCIS within 18 months of hire or ARRT TX RT(R) in lieu, and possess appropriate licenses.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications required and preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certified within eighteen (18) months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures in the cath lab, interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with transport of patient and maintains sterile technique.
