Job summary

Methodist Hospital Westover Hills is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join a team delivering advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. You will work with physicians using state-of-the-art cath lab technology, guiding patients and families through the treatment journey with skill and compassion.

The role emphasizes assisting with angiograms/angioplasties, patient education, and maintaining high standards of safety and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements include: high school/GED, and one of: 1 year full-time invasive cardiovascular tech experience, or an associate degree in health/science, or CHEA/USDOE/CMA accredited program, or non-programmatically accredited program with 800 clinical hours.
• Employee training and competencies as defined by service line and department.
• Preferred: 2 years in invasive cardiovascular technology; preferred: Baccalaureate in health/science or nursing with 6 months in invasive CV technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements)
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures
• Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment for safe treatment
• Monitor patient responses to ensure high-quality care
• Maintain sterile environment and advocate for every patient
