CentraState Medical Center, part of CentraState Healthcare System, seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to register and schedule patients, perform pre-screenings for financial responsibilities, verify insurance, and coordinate with care teams in a fast-paced cardiovascular interventional setting.

The role requires high school diploma, hospital registration/billing experience preferred, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital registration and/or billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient infusion appointments accurately in Epic Beacon; document confirmations.
• Register and check in patients for appointments; ensure required information is captured.
• Obtain needed authorizations and referrals from referring physicians.
• Communicate intra-departmental needs for infusion appointments and document confirmations.
• Send automated appointment reminders one day prior to appointments.
• Process EPIC work queues for referrals, authorizations and scheduling.
• Review next day’s schedule for accuracy and completeness.
